Nigerian singer David Ekene

Nigerian gospel singer David Daniels Ekene popularly known for his hit gospel song ‘Greater Tomorrow’ will be coming to Kampala at the end of the year.

He will be performing in a charity concert slated for December, the singer will be in town to grace the show, alongside other gospel artistes.  We’ve learnt that the show will apparently be a fundraiser for kids with Down syndrome, going by the organizer.

In an exclusive one on one with Sqoop, Irene Nabossa the brain behind the charity event says that; the kids suffering from the dysfunction will be present on the show.

“I was touched seeing kids in in this condition, with parents who are in terrible need of help. Thus my bid to assist, by launching a campaign that will help me gather some little money, to be able to construct for them a home” she said.

Unlike expected, the performers on this shall be strictly gospel singers, and will include alongside Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Levixone, Joseph Ngoma, Simon Mirembe, and a dance group.

Down syndrome is often a congenital, usually associated with physical growth delays, mild to moderate intellectual disability, and characteristic facial features.
