Cayenne bar and Lounge in Bukoto was last night some sort of a meeting place for whites leaving and working in Uganda. This was at the second edition of the Club Beer sponsored ‘Sip N Dip’ event. ‘Sip N Dip’ is the event that is aimed at celebrating and appreciating Afro-house music in Uganda.

Afro-house music for starters is the blending of Electronic Dance Music and African beats and this music despite being promoted in Uganda has still failed and is well embraced by whites and of course a few Ugandans.

The headlining performance of the night was from Dj Shimza from Swaziland. He played songs and for most of those who didn’t understand his kind of music could only define it as different beats playing one after the other.

El Mukuka, Zambia’s top DJ/Producer and the pioneer of melodic house music in the country also played together with local performers like Kas Baby, The Cee, Dark Meme and DJ MT.
