If you live in Kampala or have been a visitor here, you cannot miss street preachers who stand in strategic locations such as traffic lights, road junctions and other places where people are going about their day to day activities.
Over the last week, the number of these street preachers has grown as much as their appearance. Normally it is hungry-looking, shabbily dressed preachers, but now we see young, vibrant, well dressed good looking young men and women.
As is the case with the usual street preacher, hardly anyone pays attention to them because they preach to people in busy areas.
But what do experts always say about resilience and creativity? Well, you might not pay attention to these preachers on the streets, but you sure spend much of your time on social media.
Love for God is now being proclaimed on social networking sites as well. For the last three days, ‘Jesus’ has become a trending topic on Twitter. And no, it is not the Jesus that appeared and got deported from Kenya!
About 335,000 tweets have so far been written about Jesus. Most of these are sending out the message of love, repentance and forgiveness.
