Since last week’s comedy shows, people have been talking about the growth of comedy as an entertainment genre. This was because last week was played host to the premiere of Salvador’s Just Comedy, Madrat and Chiko’s Nsekobuseko Season 3, Joshua Okello’s Comedy Black Friday and Comedy Fiesta among others that sold-out even when some shared dates.
As people were giving credit to Ugandans for supporting comedy, Alex Muhangi was praising himself instead. According to a source, Muhangi, the brainchild of Comedy Store, a weekly comic show says it is because of his innovation that such nights are mushrooming. Muhangi who didn’t have his Comedy Store last week to give room for Madrat and Chiko’s Nsekobuseko was quoted saying that comedy shows have come after organisers got inspiration from him.
