In an interview sometime back, Rwandan singer Pius, said the Ugandan music industry is the best in East Africa and it was the reason Rwandan artistes seek collaborations here. He might not have lied because as you read this, one of the Rwandan artistes is planning to move to Uganda in a bid to boost her career. Singer Alyn Sano, according to our source, wants to join the Ugandan music industry for a while before returning to Rwanda.
In the past, we have seen artistes such as Charlie Na Nina, Pius, and Jody have their music breakthrough in Uganda courtesy of hit collaborations. In Rwanda, the jazz, RnB, Afro-Pop singer and songwriter is popular for songs such as Naremewe, Wowe, Rwiyoborere, and Painkiller.
