John Blaq entertaining the crowd
Since he broke out John Blaq has probably not had enough sleep. The boy is either on stage or on the road. And this weekend was not different because he was the headlining act at the second edition of Evoke night dubbed Neon at the bridge 2.
The show that took place at Forever Resort just below the new Jinja Bridge saw the 24-year-old stepping two hours late. Before him, Evoke Band, dancers and beatboxers had warmed up the stage.
The Club Evoke night is an event that identifies and brings together fresh talent in the fields of spoken word, dance, beat boxing, Acapella and deejaying. You could call it a millennial event and the third edition, which happened on Saturday, saw a growth in numbers.

Last weekend’s edition was not different from the others. It was the same drill with Evoke band performing tunes from different local and international singers. Elijah Kisakye, a new kid in the industry, had a moment on the Evoke band stage and boy did he get the house screaming!
