Miss World Vanessa Ponce is in Uganda ahead of her six day visit to the Pearl of Africa and in the just concluded press conference, she thanked the organizers of the Miss Uganda beauty pageant for having chosen Quinn Abenakyo as Miss Uganda because she was not only just a contestant but a friend who became her sister eventually.

“Listening to Quiin’s story, I draw a lot closer to her. She’s fighting the same cause as I am and during the last five finalists, we held our hands so tight. We cried and laughed at the same time. She told me I was going to take it as I was also telling her the same thing. And here we are. She has become my sister,” said an excited Ponce.
