I’m fighting for, not against police- Bobi Wine in new song- VIDEOS

Ugandan musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi, commonly known as Bobi Wine, is arrested by police on his way to a press conference held to announce the cancellation of his show at Busabala, Uganda, on April 22, 2019.

Following the cancellation of his Easter music shows and eventual house arrest from April 23 until April 25 when he ‘sneaked out’ and attended the burial of former Bugiri District chairperson, Ugandan Pop star Bobi Wine is back to what he does best.
The Kyadondo East MP real name Robert Kyagulanyi has composed a new song in which he states that he’s fighting for the rights of police officers and not against them.

The MP, in the song whose teaser videos have been shared on his social media platforms, features his colleague Nubian Li. The song is composed in a mixture of Swahili, English, Luganda and Lusoga.
“I’m not fighting against you officer, but for you,” the MP sings.

On Thursday, Bobi Wine who had been under house arrest since April 23 was seen in Bugeso Village, Lwemba Sub-county in Bugiri in eastern Uganda attending the burial ceremony of Siraji Lyavala.

It’s not clear how he left his house in Magere, Kasangati in Wakiso District but the MP posted on Facebook saying: “I had to find a way of attending the burial of our patriotic elder Haji Siraji Samanya Lyavaala in Bugiri. No matter how much the regime tries to keep us apart, we shall always find a way of coming together.”
This publication understands even the police officers who had been deployed at his home have left.
