Now it is no longer a secret how much excitement Awilo Longomba’s show brought to Ugandans. And in Arua, the anxiety was undefined and you know how the people from this town get all hyped. Well, the people almost ate comedian Patrick ‘Salvado’ Indringi alive on Sunday over some mishaps in regards to the Awilo show. Apparently, the comedian was the face of the Awilo Arua event and so many thought that he was the organiser of the show.
However, after the show started, service providers and some dancers came out demanding their pay and they had only one man in mind. From what we got, Cents CEO Vincent Nsubuga had returned to Kampala with the money but Salvado’s efforts to explain this fell on deaf ears. He only managed to resolve the issue by promising to pay off most people within a specified period. Asked what exactly went wrong, Vincent, the man behind Cents Events, said: “I solved everything before leaving Arua.”
