Hostel Silent Disco returns with gamers’ edition

Some of the girls that turned up for Silent Disco.

Last year, a campus news portal Campus bee together with Muchachos, an events company partnered with Bell Jams to take the Silent disco to different Universities.

Universities like Makerere University, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and Mbarara University School of Technology (MUST) among other universities had a feel of the event dubbed Bell Jams Hostel Silent Disco.

The event that has been going to universities had taken a break but its back with another edition. Dubbed the Gamers edition, it took place at Ideal Platinums hostel in Nakawa MUBS last Sunday.

Pallaso

Besides just listening to music from four DJs from different headphones channels, there were those who also tussled it out for Shs500, 000 as the grand prize for the overall winners in the FIFA play station games that were played on Play station 4 Game consoles.

DJ’s Slick Stuart, Roger and Xzyl were there to play music for the crowd that kept on dancing silently but with sound in their ears. The place looked like a church or sorts as many were dancing as they switched channels depending on which DJ played a groovy song.

Fefe Busi

Later in the program, all the students were told to switch to the blue channel were singer Fefe Busi performed for the students. The sound was from the microphone to the headphones as he dropped his freestyle lines. He later made way for Pallaso who also came and did songs like Hana, Wine, Twatoba, Amaaso and Mama among others.

DJ Roger started playing after midnight and at 1am, the duo of Kent and Flosso also came and performed a few songs before leaving it to DJ Roger to play music as everyone left at Leisure.
