Last week, Miss Uganda and Miss World Quiin Abenakyo was set to travel to the Eastern part of the country in the Tulambule Campaign. Dubbed the Tulambule Ne Quiin edition, Abenakyo was meant to spearhead the team that was meant to travel and promote the Eastern Uganda’s tourism.
Abenakyo however never showed up yet the team was read to hit the road with her. Brenda Nanyonjo the CEO Miss Uganda claimed that she had a toothache and could not travel but details later emerged that Abenkayo was not sick but they were issues of payments that made her dump at the last moment.
After one week, it is said that the Tulambule campaign resumes tomorrow without Abenakyo on board but Anitah Fabiola, Miss Tourism Uganda Margaret Kankwanzi, Miss Earth Josephine Nabirye and Emily Ayen Miss Karamoja.
The team will set off tomorrow morning with a flag off by Minister of State for Tourism Hon Godfrey Kiwanda at the Independence Monument in Kampala. They will take the Eastern route and the trip will end after four or five days with the last place being visited being Karamoja.
