Kigali revellers honour deceased Ugandan singer Mowzey Radio

February 1 will mark exactly a year since Singer Mowzey Radio passed on. Radio passed on at around 8am at Case Hospital in Kampala where he had been hospitalized for one-and–half weeks after he was involved in a bar brawl in Entebbe that left his skull cracked.

Radio real name Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo who had gone to have fan at the De Bar, a hangout in Entebbe town sustained injuries after it was said that he was involved in a fight with a one Troy.

As it marks a year since his demise, the singer is still remembered as one of the great artistes who put a mark on the Ugandan Music Industry. Tomorrow at DNA Lounge, Chameleone’s latest bar opened in Kololo, there will be a small event to commemorate the life of Mowzey Radio with his album titled Moses The Great being launched ahead of next week’s main events next week.

Rwandan music fans have also decided to have an event in tribute to the fallen singer at Wakanda Villas in Kigali Rwanda. Symhony Band from Rwanda will perform all of the Late singer’s songs with a Live Band. There will also be performances from Rwandan singers who were great friends of Radio and Weasel and among them include DJ Pius, Charly Na Nina, Kid Gaju, Tom Close, Safi, Bruce Melody and Austin among others.
