Singer Douglas Mayanja alias Weasel has come to address the latest developments in the Goodlyf camp that involved the mother of his deceased singing partner Mowzey Radio petitioning CID.

Radio’s mother Ms Jane Kasubo last week told CID that her son’s songs are being reproduced and sold without the family’s knowledge. The accused artistes, who were summoned to respond to the allegations include Weasel, who was Radio’s co-singer in Good Life Music Limited, Geoffrey Kyagambidwa alias Chagga and Emotions Musinguzi.

However, only Chagga showed up at the CID offices on Friday. Weasel only showed up at the January 26 birthday celebrations and album listeners party of the late Goodlyf musician at DNA lounge where he was part of the organizing committee.

Now Weasel has for the first time spoken out about the accusations being thrown at him by Radio’s family. Weasel said that he has let Lillian Mbabazi to perform songs he did with Radio on various occasions and has never attacked her. He therefore didn’t understand why the late singer’s family was attacking him.

“What they are forgetting is that Mowzey Radio was like Bob Marley. His songs are for everyone. But she (Lillian) is now attacking me. How will she explain to her children? I had kept quiet because you know I don’t talk much but Lillian is always singing Goodlyf songs like Bread and Butter but I have never served her with any warning letter because I know that she is taking care of our (Radio’s) children,” a visibly agitated Weasel said.
