Singer Bebe Cool has threatened to release videos of musicians who got money from President Museveni but are denying it. He says that it’s ironic how these singers were not ashamed to get money from the president yet they abuse him regularly.

“I got Shs400m from President Museveni and I distributed it among different artistes. Each of the artistes that I gave money signed an agreement on camera. I have videos of each of these artistes and now am going to give them an ultimatum that each of these artistes comes out and admits that they got money,” Bebe Cool threatened.

He says that all these artistes (40 in number) should come out within 24 hours or he will release the videos.
“I am going to release one video on my social media platforms each day till they make 20. My aim is to show Ugandans that I am an honest man. People talk about me a lot but I want to show them the truth.”

He says he was shocked to learn that there are some musicians who met the president in secret and told him that he used the Shs400 million alone.
“They could not tell him during a meeting I attended because they know I have my accountability,” he said.

He also accused the president of the Performing Artists of Uganda Federation Andrew Benon Kibuuka and other events promoters including Abitex of getting Shs2 billion from the president. Abitex, real name Abbey Musinguzi,  has been very vocal about his dislike for President Museveni.

The promoters said they were going to meet the head of state to discuss the fate of Bobi Wine events. Bebe Cool, however, says the promoters did not give Bobi Wine any of the money.

The Wasibukawa singer was speaking during an interview with Sanyuka TV.
