Very few people knew Maleek Berry before his performance last Sunday at cricket Oval but at 10.30pm, he had added to his following both on social media and in the public.
The hundreds who turned up for the event sung his lyrics word by word and at the end of the evening, he had executed what he had come to do.
The musician who has produced songs for Banky W, Davido, 2Face, Wande Coal, Iyanya and Wiz Kid among others did songs like ‘The matter’, ‘New bounce’, ‘Me’, ‘Kontrol’ and ‘Sisi Maria’ among others.
Before his performance, Irene Ntale had serenaded the public with a live band doing song such as ‘He go down’, Stamina daddy’, Nzenna Nzenna and ‘Gwe aliko’ among others.
And shortly before her, Tamba, Farouq, Mr Mankwa, Dj Naselow and Crisio had given the early birds more reasons to stick around.
This specific edition has been one of the most attended and it came just days after the entertainment industry had registered double flops in Fik Fameica’s show and the Ice cream and cake festival.
