Society almost pushed me to commit suicide- Judith Heard cries on TV

Judith Heard broke down during the interview with NTV’s Faridah Nakazibwe

Ugandan socialite and New York based Model Judith Heard has revealed that due to societal pressure, she was almost pushed to end her life.

During an interview with Faridah Nakazibwe on NTV’s Mwasuze Mutya show, Judith said she has had to pursue her dreams away from Uganda, a country she loves so much, because of naysayers.

“It hurts when you are raising this flag up high and no body cares. All they say is you are old. You are getting famous in old age. Who said when you grow old you shouldn’t pursue your dreams,” she said.

The mother of three, who is currently a freelance model in New York said by the time she left, her life was going down the drain.

“Our society almost pushed me to commit suicide. I was so depressed, but I could not tell anyone, because people would be so quick to judge me. I cannot stand people anymore because I am scared. Everyone that sees, they see what they read in the papers,” she said, we tears rolling down her cheek.

After working for two years in New York, the model says her life has since changed.

“Previously I had to first get drunk before going anyway, so I do not have to care what people say about me, not any more. I can now stand in front of a crowd and talk for long without alcohol.”

The mother of three recently made headlines when she appeared in explicit videos with an identified young man. The videos which were accompanied with a series of pictures showing the lithe model’s private parts were widely shared when Heard was in Paris for work.

She however says that there is a person who always tries to use those photos to bring her down, at a time when she is moving forward.
