Nine sex workers have been charged and remanded to Luzira prison by City Hall Court for committing a nuisance by defecating and urinating in public places.
The nine ladies led by one Harriet Akini on Monday appeared before a grade one magistrate, Patrick Talisuna and pleaded guilty to the charges.
They were remanded to Luzira prison until November 21 for sentencing.
Prosecution contends that the convicts on November 15, 2018 while at Kampala road did commit a nuisance by defecating /urinating along the road while carrying out their sex trade in public places.
