After Mandela National Stadium, Namboole kicked out Bobi Wine’s Kyarenga concert, a number of his social media fans tweeted under the hashtag #BoyCottUgandaCranes, calling on people to boycott all FUFA matches at the stadium.

But the singer has urged his fans to support the national football team, no matter the circumstances.

“I don’t agree with the hashtag #boycottugandacranes which is trending as a result of the Kyarenga concert cancellation by Namboole. The Uganda Cranes is our national team in which we should take pride. All these young men need is love and support not condemnation,” he said in a tweet.

The tweet which was posted about an hour ago, has got many of his fans giving him thumbs-up.

One can love their COUNTRY without necessarily loving their GOV’T.” That’s true statesmanship!” a one @IamSegawa replied to his tweet.

“I agree. Besides, why should the NATIONAL TEAM be targeted because of the decisions of a highly politicised management committee?”David Kahima replied.

@HEBobiwine qualifies to be given an office in AU quarters. He has consistently maintained that peace, love and unity supersedes cancellation of his concerts. He is a leader Uganda is yearning for. As an Elder I will forward your name to AU for consideration. Webale Nnyo!”- Busuku Warrior.

“Good score! Now I think we can have a number of #Kyarenga concerts around the city and entire country and leave that Namboole to Edgar Watson, Magogo and their God parents in Gov’t.”- David Matsiko.
