If you have dated a broke man, you definitely understand what allies of Gen Mugisha Muntu are going through as they exit the Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party to join the New Formation.
When a broke person ends a relationship, they will literally ask for everything that they ever gave you, be it a pen, or a pencil. This writer was asked to return a needle and thread that her ex had given her.
We are not saying FDC is broke.
But, yesterday, like a broke ex, FDC Secretary General Nathan Nandala Mafabi wrote to Mr Kyazze Kassimu the party’s former General Secretary for Makindye District, asking him to return party property.
The said property among other things, included 12 cups, three office chairs, four desks, files a stamp and a checkbook, among others.
“The party has been notified of your quitting of Forum for Democratic Change. We appreciate your time with us and wish to inform you to hand over all party materials in your possession,” the letter reads.
