Ronald Magada alias Maro is slowly getting known more for his charity works than his music, and not that we are complaining. And the latest campaign the singer is running could not be any closer to home.
For a while, there have been stories about a heavy jigger infestation in Busoga and together with Sole Hope, a US NGO, Maro is championing a campaign dubbed Tundula #Zerojiggers.
Maro, who hails from the region, will be active in sensitising the people on how to live free from jiggers, and he has already recorded a song titled Tundula in line with the campaign.
Maro said it was an honour to be approached by the people of Sole Hope and the more surprising news is that his role in the campaign is totally at no cost. Way to go Maro!
