Who knew that by joining politics, Bobi Wine was opening doors for other artistes? We have since lost count of those who have expressed intent and the latest to join the list is northern Uganda-based singer Bashir Maacha, popularly known as Easy Bash.
The dreadlocked singer was a few weeks ago sworn in as the new Workers Councillor representing Oyam District.
Singer turned politician started work as Hon. Maacha last Saturday when he flagged off pilgrims from northern Uganda to Namugongo at St Jude Church in Naguru.
He had partnered with RedSox Hotel to give pilgrims 100 boxes of water for their journey from Namugongo back to Lira District. Does this mean his music career is over? “I will do music once in a while but it does not mean I am out of the industry,” Easy Bash said. Way to go honourable!
