A few weeks ago, the family of late socialite Ivan Ssemwanga turned down Shs20m that was given to them by Cameron Gitawo his friend and business partner.
The money was part of contribution for Ivan’s funeral rites but the family rejected it, saying Ivan had died a rich man and money was still coming in from his businesses.
The family went on and insulted Gitawo, saying he ran away from Uganda because of failure to pay debts and was living a disguised luxurious life in South Africa.
Gitawo, however, came out to prove to the family that he is not chocking on debts and that he has his money. This statement, he made and proved by splashing some dimes on a $250,000 (about Shs900m) car.
The runaway socialite showed off his newly-acquired Porsche Panamera alongside his fleet of cars and promised to fly the car to Uganda in December. All this, just to show off.
