Welcome us back Home like heroes – Ghetto Kids

Ghetto Kids

The Ghetto Kids are the most talked about artistes right now, after their appearance on stage at the Black Entertainment TV (BET) awards in front of all the big names in the black entertainment world. Chris Brown, Rihanna, Mayweather, Gabriel Union and many more were all there. And let’s agree, they nailed it. Their performance was one of the highlights of the 2017 BET awards.

Now they are calling for a huge welcome home and perhaps deservedly. When we talked to the manager David Kavuma, he urged Ugandans to give more recognition to the achievement the kids have got. “These kids are flying the Ugandan flag; here you can barely access us. We have security, we are staying in a five-star hotel and every time we step out the media is waiting for us. Ugandans welcomed Ivan Semwanga’s body like a hero. Big Brother housemates – we all remember how Gaetano was welcomed home. How about us who have hit the biggest stage in black entertainment?” Kavuma said.

Patricia one of the three from the beginning of the Ghetto Kids agreed with Kavuma. “We are very honored to be here, we never thought we would be here but we are. Here we feel appreciated more than back home. I love my country and people and can’t wait to come back but I wish we were appreciated and supported more at home because we are flying and representing the Uganda flag and country.”

The Ghetto Kids are scheduled to tour the United Stars alongside French Montana as well as make guest appearances on the Jimmy Fallon show and the Ellen Degeneres show in the coming days.
