The first time Salvado Idringi staged his one-man show dubbed ‘Man from Ombokolo’ at Kampala Serena Hotel in 2015, he was skeptical. It was a big venue, he had never held a one-man show and he did not think people would part with 100k for a comedy show. But alas, it was a success!
He hoped to stage a similar show last year but because he was the one organising ‘Africa Laughs’, Salvado decided to concentrate on one thing. He promised to have his one man show in 2017 but as we closed in on mid-year, we gave up on the possibility. Now earlier this week the comedian revealed to us that his promise was not just bar talk – he will have the show in October at Kampala Serena Hotel.
“I did not do it last year because I was not ready. I want to give people value for their money because quality is a very big aspect for my shows,” he said.
The father of two is said to be cooking up some fresh and new skits to avoid the incidents from the first edition where most of the skits had already been done.
