Sudhir back in town

Sudhir Ruperalia who has been away from the social scene since the closure of Crane Bank, was seen sipping a glass of wine while his son Rajiv Ruperalia looked on, at the French Ambassador’s residence in Nakasero. This was during a business cocktail between the Ugandan businessmen community and a group of businessmen from France who visited the country to check out business prospects in Uganda.

Asked how he feels about dfcu bank becoming the second biggest bank in the country after taking over the bank that was his, Sudhir who was in a jolly mood told them to reflect on Jesus’ ministry on earth and think of the three days of his death and the story of his resurrection and where he is today – in what was a rather cryptic message.

He says bank managers should aim at grooming their employees to the standards they want so as to create systems that prioritise customer service.

“Any serious businessman opens business to serve customers. It is pointless for a customer to walk into a banking hall and he begins wandering around without being assisted. Every employee in the service industry must know that they are employed because of the customer,” he said.
