Millions of models worldwide would do almost anything to appear inside ‘Allure’ magazine. This is why the appearance of Uganda’s Aamito Stacie Lagum is proving how lucky and blessed she is. Not only did sheappear on many pages of the magazine’s April 2017 issue but on the cover page as well.
The Ugandan born model is among 41 women of colour who were interviewed and share their story in the magazine. She’s also a force to reckon with when it comes to modeling having appeared among the people that showcased Kanye West’s rugged clothes during his fashion show.
‘Allure’ is one of America’s leading beauty magazines and Aamito appeared on the cover with two other models, Dilone and Imaam Hammam. Aamito was so ecstatic that she took to her social media and wrote: “Super grateful and extremely humbled for my first American Cover for ALLURE Magazine April Issue 2017 alongside these beautiful Women Dilone & Imaan Hammam on the cover photographed by the legendary Patrick Demarchelier.”
Aamito’s rise to stardom came in 2013 after winning ‘Africa’s Next Top Model’ after which she was signed on by American DNA modeling agency that has seen her model for different renowned companies and individuals.
