Thousands of revellers graced Enkuuka an end of year fete organised by CBS radio station at Lubiri in Mengo.
Merrymakers’ expectations were met as all the lined up artistes performed although some of the performances were below the bar.
The day started with serving free roasted beef to revellers. However, at about 5pm when Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II arrived, the event was taken a notch higher. Artistes Chris Evans, Winnie Nwagi and Irene Ntale entertained the Kabaka and his subjects.
Undoubtedly it was the performance of Bebe Cool that got crowds on their feet with songs such as Fire Burn Dem, Taata, Sente, Kiki Ekiganye and Kabulangane.

His performance was followed by Victor Kamenyo, Big Eye, Lil Pazo, Natty Nathan, Lil Pazo, Dr Hilderman, and YKee Benda who entertained the audience up to 8pm when Gravity Omutujju, David Lutalo stepped onto the stage.
However, it seems some sections of the public were not amused by the performances and opted to bake the artistes with dust, water and urine packed in mineral water bottles. Some artistes were seen spitting dust with others struggling to wipe their faces. As if that was not enough, the revellers threw plastic chairs and metals were in the VIP section.
Pallaso and Chameleone followed but their performances lasted less than five minutes.

A few minutes to 11pm, singer Bobi Wine stepped on stage with his Mazzi Mawanvu track.
BET award winner Eddy Kenzo hit the stage at 28 minutes to midnight and left the stage after ushering in 2017. Kenzo prayed for youth to achieve their dreams in the new year and encouraged them to work hard. He reminded the audience how he has sold Luganda across borders and scoffed at those who despise him because he speaks poor English.
By the time he went off the stage, his fans were satisfied with songs such as Zigido, Zivuga, Solaye, Super power and Disco lights. Other artistes that entertained crowds included MC Mariach, Iryn Namubiru, Mesach Semakula, B2C quartet and Navio.
