Property worth millions of shillings was lost this morning after a fire gutted part of Casablanca Bar and Restaurant in Kabalagala.
The hangout which is known for being frequented by KIU students was gutted by the fire, whose cause is still being investigated by the Police Fire Brigade.
According to Police, by the time police fire fighters reached the scene, several properties had been burnt to ashes. This included three flat screens, four loud speakers, one base speaker, seven sofa sets, seven fridges, and an uncounted number of expensive liquor bottles among other drinks.
According to the police, the main building was not affected but the wooden extension of the bar is what burnt down. Fortunately no one died. The management of the bar is yet to help the police establish what caused the fire.
