The Ghetto kids have had quite a year, towards the end of last year they lost one of their crew mates Alex sempijja who was hit by a car and later succumbed to the injuries at a local hospital. The Triplets Ghetto Kids first caught the world’s attention a couple of years ago with their moves in Eddy Kenzo’s Ugandan hit ‘Sitya Loss’. Since then their dance moves have been viewed by millions, and now have an international entertainment award in there drawers.
The landed back in the country last Thursday with 2 awards. Best Dance Group award in the African Entertainment Awards USA
They also won Best Dance Act at the BEFFTA AWARDS 2016
Edrisa Musuuza commonly known as Eddy Kenzo their mentor, the man that made Uganda proud last year being the first East African artiste to win a BET award also added another international gong at the African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA)
Kenzo won the award for video of the year for his single “Viva Africa” beating off competition from the likes of Diamond Platnumz (Utanipenda), MC Galaxy (Hello), and Ommy Dimpoz (Achia Body) among others
The awards use entertainment as a vehicle in supporting, celebrating, promoting, and uplifting the achievements and advancements, of all Africans and Africans of the Diaspora; be it through music, acting, sports, and an array of other entertainment forms world-wide.
