With just a week to Season Three of their much-anticipated Mix tape party, DJ duo Roja and Slick-Stuart are all smiles after having their names known in Nigeria.
The two woke up on Tuesday with a new tag; Best DJ non-Nigerian, an award they won during the 11th edition of the 2016 Nigerian Entertainment Awards. They were in the same category as DJs Lebbie from South Africa, Bossman from Liberia, Mensah from Ghana, Joe Mflame from Kenya and Vyrusky from Ghana.
It was unfortunate though that they did not make it for the awards ceremony after failing to raise the money needed for their visas.
“The organisers did not send us visas, so it required the boys to pay Shs10m for the ceremony in New York and we didn’t have all that money,” the duo’s manager, Bridget Nisha, said.
Our girl Sheebah, who had been nominated in the Best Female Artiste non-Nigerian category, lost to Efya from Ghana.
