If there is one event that has promoted African acts, it is the Blankets and Wine. Ever since its debut in 2011, the second edition of the event saw Kenyan artiste Madtraxx perform for the first time in Uganda. A few months ago, the 12th edition of the event was headlined by Uhuru, a group from South Africa. Now the 13th edition of the event will see South African band Mi Casa having their debut performance in Uganda. The group made of J’something, Mo-T and Dr Duda is known for their hit song Jika which they did way back in 2014. The event which will take place at the usual Uganda Museum on July 10, will also have acts from Uganda, including Jackie Akello, Kirya Kuti, Davis Ntare and MoRoots, among others.
