After close to eight years of singing as a solo artiste, Singer Cindy is now tagged to a music group or if you can prefer to call it, a recording label. The Ndi Mukodo singer, who is undoubtedly one of the best female dancehall singers in the country recently signed a deal to be a member of Grandpa Records, a record label based in Kenya.

Cindy who signed the contract last month has already embarked on a music tour in Kenya, courtesy of the record label. The 30-year-old, according to a website in Kenya, recently performed at Deep West Resort in Nairobi, Club One on One in Mombasa, Sixty Four Lounge in Nakuru, Twenty Four Resort Eldoret and Voi in Kisumu.

As part of the contract, the singer will have all her audio and music videos shot by GrandPa Records for the next two years. GrandPa has existed in Kenya for a while after record labels Ogopa DJs, Sub Saharan and Calif Records came and left. GrandPa records’ biggest signing was DNA, a singer who was famous for songs such as Banjuka, a Swahili song that Ugandans danced and sang to in 2008.
