Guitars and song books make Thursdays at Casa

Every Thursday starting 7.30pm, revellers gather at Casa Del Turista, along Nkokonjeru Terrace-Mbale. It is not for the usual drinks and bites, but a walk down memory lane – enjoying music from the past.

Each guest is required to come with a torch, and they are handed a song book. A fire is lit and a circle is formed around the fire. The guitar is strum and the patrons sing along, depending on the selected song.
There is enough space at the rooftop, making for a comfortable and relaxed environment. To pull in a good number or give patrons something to look forward to, an extra free pizza is given to each order of pizza and coffee comes is in handy because of the evening breeze.
The guitar night is worth every minute of your time because it is a bonding and teamwork platform for corporates.
Saleh Naminya, the proprietor Of Casa, says “the guitar night is for relieving stress after a busy schedule”, adding that it is all about singing for fun. It is a group karaoke thing of sorts.
Entrance is free and anyone can take part in the guitar night.
