It is a trend for artistes to scoop endorsement deals; actually artistes worldwide make a killing from such deals. But singer Martin Nkoyoyo a.k.a Yoyo, got one hell of a deal! It might be juicy, but it is not coming any easy for the singer. Yoyo got a deal to carry out campaigns in schools teaching students about sanitation and how to keep their bodies healthy. Yoyo’s role involved having private talks with female students on menstrual health. The singer also has to give out free sanitary towels.
While the campaign has endeared Yoyo among female students and school administrators, it also won him the title of ‘Mr Sanitary Pads’. After handing over the pads, Yoyo takes the girls through the process of using the pads during their menstruation.
The Byonjagala singer has so far been to 31 primary and secondary schools across the country. The singer told us that he has found profound happiness in the campaign, which he feels contributes to the welfare of the youth in the country.
