Dave Kazoora, aka JK, has managed to establish himself as a TV production guru, thanks to his Buddies Productions. He currently does shows for NTV Uganda and has handled several of Airtel’s TV field productions both in Uganda and Rwanda.
Well, a few years ago, things went south for JK in Kigali and he ended up incarcerated, but was later released and court in Kigali is yet to give its final ruling on the case.
But like they say, when one door closes, a window opens, JK was quick to move to Tanzania and he was welcomed with open arms. He has established another arm of buddies in Dar es Salam. Just like the Ugandan arm, Buddies Tanzania has been handling Airtel’s field activations for the past several months.
However, a week ago, TV One, a station owned by Tigo- one of the leading telecommunication companies in TZ, signed a deal with Buddies to provide them with produced content for shows worth 400 hours every month.
This means that Buddies will provide more than half of the content that will run on TV One!
An excited JK confirmed the news but he insisted he was not at liberty to disclose figures, as it was barred by the contract they had signed with TV One.
All the best JK!
