“Why can’t you put your feet up? Don’t you see they are all swollen?” Went this lady next to me with a disgusted look on her face.
Now before I could even give her a befitting response, my mind was racing amid astonishment. For starters, my feet were not swollen at all! Then up to now, I still wonder how my “swollen feet” were her concern.
Anyway, whichever way you look at it, there are those sort of people who make it a point to mind others’ business and continue to poke their nose where it is not needed.
Such include the many that made socialite wannabe Shanitah Namuyimba aka Bad black’s “new look” a big deal upon her release from prison for embezzling Shs11b from her lover David Greenlagh.
Now I still wonder why this chick is still a big deal here that everyone has to talk about her light skin complexion, toned nose, breast implants among other things. I mean, do such people deserve that value attachment card that their release from prison is accorded attention as if they are some sort of hero? Are some people really that idle or is it that they wish to just make noise about an issue and mind its business until the fire goes down so they can switch to another less important topic?
Again, it comes down to the nosy society freaks that make it a point to mind other people’s business. I mean, chick stole money, went to jail, served her term quietly then upon her release everything about her is supposed to make news and turn heads?
From her walk out, to the old White dude that she was dating, his new flame and all the rubbish that accompanies this subject has been resurrected like it matters. I call this misplaced attention.
If only we could use our time to mind the things that matter, the world would be the best place to be. One thing is clear though, the things that matter vary from individual to individual sadly, so we shall all let this rest for now, I guess!
