Gadget : Nokia Lumia 950

It is probably since a Microsoft smartphone crossed your mind. Now the company is releasing two new phones that it hopes will change all that. The new Lumia 950 and its larger sibling, the 950XL is going head on against the best Androids and iPhones. What makes this phone exceptional is that it is the first phone to run Windows 10. Hardwarewise, the Lumia 950 is not an inspired phone – it is bland, plasticky, and feels tacky.
It lacks any defining design characteristics, making it a generic-looking rectangular slab. However the 950 has a modern processor Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808; 3GB of RAM, plenty of storage (32GB) along with a micro SD slot if you want to expand it a big battery 3,000mAh that can be swapped; and wireless and quick charging features. The 5.2-inch display has lots of pixels with quad HD resolution and is pretty sharp. The camera set up is not remarkable.

The front 5-megapixel camera is fine but nothing all that special. You can shoot at up to 2208 x 1242 pixel resolution video with the front camera, though. There is also an unusually powerful triple-LED flash on the back, although as the Microsoft Lumia 950 as decent optical image stabilisation. The camera is one of the Microsoft Lumia 950’s best bits. However, there is one other weak link to look at: the speaker, with lower quality than its competition.

Pros

Fast performance
Reliable camera

Cons
