App : unroll.me

Unroll.me lets one combine all their newsletters into one email, called the “Rollup,” and keeps the other emails from ever hitting one’s inbox. To get started, one needs to give permission for Unroll.me to comb through one’s emails to find everything to which they are subscribed. Then simply go through and choose which ones to keep and they want wrapped up in the daily Rollup, and those to discard. That means one doesn’t have to find the barely legible “Unsubscribe” link in 6-point font buried at the bottom of e-mails. The app also lets one to quickly go through older Rollups, so they don’t even have to open ones email app to find all their favourite newsletters all in one spot. The system isn’t perfect though. Some sites, like Amazon, send e-mails from multiple address, so you’ll see some duplicate items. There’s also no way to mark an e-mail from a sender that one doesn’t want to see anymore if Unroll.me doesn’t recognise it as an unsubscribable email. Unroll.me is a free service and the iOS app is free as well. If you don’t have an iPhone, one can sign up for Unroll.me on the web to start reducing your inbox clutter.
