Singer Levixone starts ‘Back to school’ charity drive

If the saying- “the one who looks at how far they have come, is the one who can see how much further they are headed”, is anything to go by, then gospel singer Lukas Lugoloobyo aka Levixone seems to see where he is headed – for greater things.
Not so often do celebrities, especially artistes, go back to their roots to do things that will benefit their society, but not Levixone. Last weekend, the singer returned to the slums of Lungujja-Kosovo and donated domestic items and food stuff to several families.
“Growing up in this community was hard and I do not think much, if anything, has changed. Parents and children are still faced with the same hurdles; lack of school fees, shelter and sometimes go days without food,” Levixone said.
It is for that reason that the gospel star decided to start up an annual drive, dubbed the ‘Christmas feeding challenge’ in Kosovo, where he takes foodstuff and drinks to different families for Christmas.
This year, however, the singer will not wait for Christmas; Levixone instead partnered with a childhood friend, Trinity Heaven and they
decided to start another charity initiative named ‘Kids back to school’. The initiative is aimed at helping children in his home area return to school as happy as those who come from well-to-do families.
“Many children from my area in Kosovo are still home because of lack of school fees and scholastic material. So we decided to lend a hand.” Good stuff Levixone!
