As Eddy Kenzo’s star shines brighter, so does his wallet. Besides receiving several millions to become the Ugandan brand ambassador for the #ItsNow Airtel continental campaign, Kenzo recently bagged another Shs100m in form of sponsorship for his Mbilo Mbilo concert due next weekend.
Kenzo recently joined multiple African Footballer of the year award winner and Manchester City star Yaya Toure on the African campaign which started over a month ago.
However, Airtel could not let any other company to overshadow them as their ambassador held his concert, so they decided to pump more money into his gig as the main sponsors.
Kenzo. remained tightlipped about the exact amount he received, but our source told us that almost half of the Shs100m package was in form of media and publicity.
Kenzo who held a press briefing to announce the Mbilo Mbilo concert on Wednesday at Hotel Africana, said he is going to use the concert to thank the fans and also re-emphasise the fact that he is set for bigger things.
“It’s my time, it’s our time- me and my fans. I invite all my fans to come and we celebrate the victories we have achieved, to celebrate the journey and also prove to the world that the sky is the limit,” Kenzo told us.
