Pallaso is a clear manifestation of the adage- hard work pays. When he came back to Uganda in May 2014, all we knew of him, was his Amaaso collabo with Radio and Weasel. However, by the end of last year, Pallaso had become a force to reckon with. His songs were chart busters on both radio and TV stations and also qualified as club bangers in nightspots.
Pallaso’s star could only shine brighter after he recorded a duet with continental star Davido. And unlike his elder brother- Chameleone’s earlier duet with the Nigerian star that didn’t cause quiet a stir, Pallaso and Davido’s Twatoba became an instant hit. And when he hinted on holding his own concert after his performance at Radio & Weasel’s concert last month, Pallaso’s idea was welcomed with wild cheers. We can gladly announce that Pallaso has chosen Saturday September 5 to hold his debut concert.
“I have worked hard, my people have been asking me to do this, I think it’s time for Twatoba,” Pallaso told us. Pallaso will hold his Twatoba concert at the Freedom City auditorium along Entebbe Road. He will then have subsequent shows at Lido beach in Entebbe before heading to De Posh bar in Mbarara. “I chose Saturday because my brother Mung G has a concert on Friday September 4. I didn’t want to collide with any one,” Pallaso told us.
Rumors indicate that Pallaso sold off the concert to a city promoter, but he remained tightlipped to that end. The singer however told us that he is in talks with Davido to fly in for his concert. All the best.
