What is Access Films all about?
At Access Films, we do events photography and videography. We are soon including studio photography, but that is specifically for product photography.

When did you start this business?
The idea was originally thought about in 2008 when I was still in my journalism class at UMCAT and Uganda Film and Television Institute, but the brand was born in 2009.

Why did you choose this business?
I am a hands-on guy and I love electronics. I saw this as my primary job.

How much did you invest in it?
I actually invested nothing. It was my brain and heart. But as you know, you need to have money to make ends meet. I had 700k, which I used to buy my first laptop.

Where are your offices located?
I work from my garage at home. I am unveiling the new location to the public after interior work is completed.

Why would someone trust you in case they need your services?
Haruna keeps clients’ work private. I am creative and tend to follow my client’s demands.

What type of cameras do you use and why?
I am a Nikon guy. Currently I use a D7000 and D7100. Soon I will be upgrading to a full-frame camera. Nikon is user-friendly and it is what I used when I was learning photography.

How much does a good camera cost and what specifications must it have?
Every camera is a good camera. It is the operator who goes wrong. Also, all gear is expensive even if it is 800k.

How much are you able to make in a month?
Monthly income? That is private, although it all depends on the gigs I get.

Which celebrities have you snapped?
I have worked with Zari, Captain Mike Mukula, Jose Chameleone, Guvnor and more.

What does it take to be a good photographer?
Creativity and good deliverance.

How have you benefited from this business?
I have got exposure, skills and been able to make friends who are turning into mutual friends
