UK based Grajoh Entertainment is Afrigo’s booking agent

UK-based Grajoh Entertainment boss Johnson Mujungu shall forever remember the Afrigo 40 years’ anniversary concert. What started as a mere event idea, took Mujungu and his Grajoh team through one of the most trying experiences. All went well; tickets were sold out and Afrigo Band arrived in the UK in one piece. However, on the day of the concert, Mujungu was overwhelmed by the massive turn up of Afrigo Band fans that had not purchased concert tickets earlier.
“No one was ready to go back without watching the legendary band. People paid and by 7pm the Royal Regency Manor Park London was full to capacity. Those that had pre-bought tickets had nowhere to sit. A VIP ticket went for £35 (about Shs 150,000 ) while ordinary seats went for £ 25 (about Shs 107,000),” a source told us.
According to the source, push came to shove as people that had paid earlier failed to enter the event venue. “Mujungu tried as much as he could to calm people down, but it was outright unfair,” the source who also missed the concert told us.
Mujungu later made an apology on his Facebook wall. “Team Grajoh would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused/suffered on the show. Grajoh will make sure that a situation of this nature does not happen again. I request that you forgive us as we promise you better service next time. Acceptance of our apology is highly appreciated.”
People ranted on, but Mujungu’s humility was received differently by the Afrigo Band management. The band leader Moses Matovu (pictured right, with Mujungu) put pen to paper confirming Grajoh Ltd as the band’s international booking agency.
Johnson immediately booked Afrigo their first gig; a return trip for another show in London. Johnson also said he will be booking other shows in different parts of Europe such that the band does a mini global tour after their return concert in London.
