Like we told you earlier this year, Hollywood Oscar winning Kenyan actress Lupita Nyongó indeed set foot in Kampala last week.
The 12 Years A Slave movie star sneaked into town to do site visits for locations that will be used in the shooting of the new movie The Queen of Katwe that is about Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi.
However, during her visit Lupita, currently one of the most decorated African actresses took some time off to visit different parts of the city. It should be noted that Lupita had been in our dusty city several times before she rose to international stardom.
According to eye witnesses, Lupita was recently spotted enjoying breakfast at singer Maurice Kirya’s Sound Cup Café at Garden City Mall in Kampala.
When contacted, Maurice Kirya, the Sound Cup boss, who was seen chatting away with Lupita, refused to comment saying any unwanted comments might compromise his professional working relationship with the star actress.
A source told us that Lupita will be in and out of Uganda for a bigger part of this year, although she will spend most of the time outside Kampala.
