What does Jacaju do?
We are mainly into shipping goods from China and Dubai to all over the world but we also do product sourcing, translations, invitation letters, hotel bookings, airport shuttles and warehouse services.

Do you only ship from China and Dubai?
We can also ship from other parts of the world provided it’s a full container but if not, then it’s only those two countries.

How much are your prices?
Prices depend on the shipping line preferred and location where the goods are coming from, but for a 40 container, we charge $7,500 (about Shs22m) from China to Uganda and if it’s a 25feet, then we charge $5,000 (about Shs14.6m).

How long does it take for the goods to reach the final destination?
That also depends on the loading point and destination. It’s better to inform us about the two points before the transaction is made but usually, it takes three weeks from Dubai and a month from China to Uganda.

Do you do group containers?
Yes, we do.

What is your role in that company?
I’m the Ugandan market sales manager and my role is to market the company in Uganda by looking for clients, solving their problems, documentations and receiving clients in China.

What are some of the challenges that you are facing as Jacaju?
Competition is high in the market and then the fluctuation of the dollar, especially when it’s high affects us so much.

What else can you do for my satisfaction if I’m dealing with you?
We pre-inspect your cargo and provide the prices before the start of the job, we pack and unpack the goods and we are able to do this because we have chargeable compressing machines and other equipments for parking, we have no limitation on the amount of goods one wants and we are not limited in the types of goods.

What happens if my goods get lost or damaged after I had paid you?
We pay for them. That is our responsibility.
