Rwanda’s top group Urban Boyz is in the country to promote their Tayari album.
The Rn’B and Afropop trio consists of James Manzi (Humble Jizzo), Safi Niyibikora (Safi Lee) and Muhammed Nshimiyimana (Nizzo).
They will perform at Club Venom in Nsambya tomorrow.
Urban Boyz released their debut album, Icyicaro (Today) in 2008 and they have since released more than 70 singles and three studio albums.
They have collaborated with several Ugandan musicians including Radio and Weasel, Jackie Chandiru and Rabadaba. They are also set to record with Desire Luzinda this weekend.
Urban Boyz took second place in the annual Primus Guma Guma Super Star talent competition, held at Amahoro Stadium in August 2013. In the same year, their single, Bibaye, was voted song of the year in Rwanda. They have bagged several awards including four Salax Awards in Rwanda in the categories of Artiste of the Year, Best Male Artiste, Best Group and Best Video.
They also recently recorded a collabo with Nigerian star Iyanya of the Kukere fame.
Entrance to the Venom show will be Shs10,000 for ordinary seats and Shs50,000 for VIP seats. Radio, Weasel and Washington will also perform at the show.
