If you thought 2014 had good music, I think we should gear up for better music this year. New talent will rise, those artistes hibernating will break free, and artistes that rose the previous year will fight for their spot in the limelight and more interestingly, artistes will be trying out new styles. The year has just kicked off but a lot of new music is already out. I pounced on Ekky’s latest collaboration with A Pass. Ekky didn’t show much last year like A Pass did, but if one listens to this song, one question surely will pop; where have you been Ekky?
On this track, she steps aside from the house music genre she is known for and does Rn’B while A Pass brings in his reggae to create a master blend titled Trouble. Produced by Badi Music, the sound quality is admirable.
The song starts off with the chorus, then Ekky kicks in with the first verse. This song is just a love story. Ekky sings about her lover whose love troubles her life in a good way, making her want to do anything for him.
A Pass plays his part well as this lover praising himself with comical statements like Sili kubigere (I’m no longer a pedestrian), I got keys in ma pocket. Once one listens to this track, they will know that it is going to trouble the air waves.
