Burgundy: The colour of wine is so in when it comes to fashion

The Kampala fashion week happened last weekend. I can’t say how sad I am for those who didn’t attend. You surely missed a great deal. Well, I will spare you the details of how I killed it in that Little White Dress and move to the important bits.
Well, while I was at it, I made a very important fashion discovery; burgundy is trending!
Yes, the wine hue is a big trend right now. And to affirm that were the numerous appearances it made on the runway. It was present in literally every collection, from Martha Jabo, to Sylvia Owori’s, Enchanted Safari collection.
Burgundy is a very rich and great colour and it works on any look, from casual to the red carpet glam look. Wearing this colour also gives room to experiment with all sorts of accessories. You could go for gold, to add a bit of shine, or maybe silver for the elegant but toned down look.
This shade is unisex, meaning you can opt for his and her jackets in burgundy. Or maybe have a two pieces for you and the hubby in matching burgundy printed pieces. If you don’t want to go for the full look, then you can simply accessorise with the colour. Shoes, scarves, sleeveless denim jackets, or even nail polish are just some of the many options that you have.
