variety: The place serves as a restaurant and transforms into a happening spot in the evening hours. On weekends its a family spot that also caters for children

Mbarara Town is growing and there are so many things to back this. Among the reasons is the rapid evolution of night life. Every three to six months, a new hangout is born and some of Kampala’s top hangouts have also spread to have branches in this town that is set to become a city.

One of the popular spots in this town is Two One One. The place should be commended for its cleanliness, before we discuss any of its other aspects. They take hygiene very seriously, to the extent of having rose liquid hand wash soap to ensure the good health of customers.

Woody décor
Two One One could be called a woodland because it was majorly built using wood. Even the name, “Two One One” at the entrance is designed using pieces of wood.
The place has comfy sofas that give you a homely feel and this is made better by the beautiful smiles of the waitresses.

Food and drinks
At Two One One, all types of drinks are available, ranging from spirits, to beers and nonalcoholic beverages. There is a professional chef, Patrick Tuke, who prepares all kinds of meals but his speciality is the 211 Burger, made with grilled steak, eggs, onions, lettuce, tomatoes. and cucumber, served with chips at only 12k. You could also opt for a chicken burger that goes for 15k. Grilled pork chops, pork muchumo, fried pork and pork escallop made of grilled tender marinated pork coated with bread crumbs is also served.

Partying hours
The party doesn’t stop at Club Two One One. From Monday to Wednesday, there is a happy hour that starts from 5pm to 7pm, where drinks are available on discount. On Thursdays, the place hosts the Western Talent Night, where talented individuals are given a platform to showcase their talents in dancing, singing, rapping, playing musical instruments and comedy among others.
Every Friday is Utake (Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya) night. East African music, played by DJ Ronnie rules the night. Saturday is Corporate Night and Sunday is family day out, where families come and enjoy the cool breeze as the children play at the bouncy castles. There are competitions for the little ones, and winners are given prizes.
Two One One’s manager, Caroline Wagaki, a Kenyan lady says that they also host shows with some of the country’s biggest musicians from time to time.
But in the absence of shows, there is still something to see as there are wide flat TV screens at every corner of the bar, plus wide projector screens often show action movies, Nigerian movies, series, music videos, soccer matches, and comedy.

Two One One is located just a short distance from Mbarara high street on Buremba Road. Drive heading to Kakoba Division. There is enough parking space for more than 50 cars along the road.
