It’s official, KCCA banned almost all sizeable outdoor venues around town from hosting concerts. Reason? They failed to comply with the city authority’s rules and regulations including concluding concerts by 12am. So, many artistes have since been left with no option, but to hold their concerts at venues like Freedom City, that are out of town.
But hip hop artiste Navio is not going to Freedom City. The rapper has decided to hold his upcoming concert during the day. The concert slated for August 23, will be held at Kati Kati Grounds and and will start at 10am and end at 7pm. Navio’s show will be the first concert by a major artiste to be held during the day. And Navio believes it will be a great concert. “I can’t wait to get on stage… We are partying all day long. Look out for all the hottest acts coming through to show support. This one is for you my love,” Navio posted on his Facebook wall.
Klear Kut members as well as Bebe Cool, Chameleone, Bobi Wine, Keko, and Sheebah have already confirmed to be part of Navio’s concert. It will probably work out because the bulk of Navio’s fans are school going and they will be on holiday.
